Menyuan Rape Flower Festival (Jul 18-25, 2020), Menyuan
Menyuan in July is a paradise on earth. Rape Flower festival is 18-25 of July every year. Menyuan Rape Flower Base is the key oil material producing areas in the Qinghai Province and northwestern region. The grass is green and the flower is red in this vast grassland, 600 thousand mu of rape flower make up this marvelous spectacle of sea of flower.

Qilian Mountain and its grassland
The Average altitude of Qilian Mountain ranges in the 4000 meters to 5000 meters above sea level, mountain snow formed a long and wide glacier landscape which is magnificent spectacle. Every year in July and August, the Qilian Mountain is still covered by snow, but grassland near Qilian Mountain is full of horses, cattle, sheep adorned among the grassland.

Rainbow Mountains, Zhangye
also called Zhangye Danxia Landform. It is both the largest and the most typical of China’s arid area danxia landforms. Because of aridity, the Zhangye Danxia Landform differs from that of south China. It is very dry and desolate, without any vegetation, so geologists call this “window lattice and palace-shaped Danxia topography”.

Dafo temple, Zhangye
it was founded in 1098 in the Xixia Dynasty (1038-1227). It houses the largest indoor lying Buddha statue, measuring 34.5 meters in length and 20.2 meters in height.

Jiayuguan and Great Wall
Jiayuguan exploration to visit the first pass at the west end of the Great Wall of China, near the city of Jiayuguan in Gansu province. Along with Juyongguan and Shanhaiguan, it is one of the main passes of the Great Wall. There are two gates: one on the east side of the pass, and the other on the west side. On each gate there is a building. The south and north sides of the pass are connected to the Great Wall. There is a turret on each corner of the pass. On the north side, inside the two gates, there are wide roads leading to the top of the pass. Jiayuguan consist of three defense lines: an inner city, an outer city and a moat.

Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang
Mogao Grottoes contain some of the finest examples of Buddhist art spanning a period of 1,000 years. The first caves were dug out 366 AD as places of Buddhist meditation and worship. The Mogao Caves are the best known of the Chinese Buddhist grottoes and, along with Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes, are one of the three famous ancient sculptural sites of China. The caves also have famous wall paintings.

Mingsha Sand Dune and Crescent Moon Lake, Dunhuang
Mingsha Sand Dune is named after the sound of the wind whipping off the dunes. You can ride camels, guided by a local camel guide, to reach the sand dunes. Once at the top of the dunes, visitors can ride sleds down the sand slopes, much like snow-sledding during winter season in skiing area. Crescent Moon Lake The crescent moon lake is a lake that lies in the centre of the desert. In the south bank of crescent moon lake a pavilion stands tall and erect. It has empress palace, dragon royal palace, Bodhisattva palace, god of medicine cave, scripture hall, thunder spirit table and so forth. They are surrounded by Mingsha Sand Dune. Though the crescent moon lake is located in the desert, it never dries up. Most people consider it a wonder.

Dachaidan Emerald Lake
Compared with chaka salt lake, it is better place for photo lover. Emerald Lake is located in the salt lake mining area of the former Dachaidan Chemical Plant in Haixi Mongolian Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. Because the lake is clear and blue in the sunlight, and the color is like jade, it is named “Emerald Lake”. Emerald Lake is still an untapped virgin land. The color of the Emerald Lake and the concentration of minerals contained in the lake are related to the weather conditions. The color of the Emerald Lake will vary from time to time.

Chaka Salt Lake
The Lake is as beautiful as a fairyland. Chaka Salt Lake, see China’s “mirror of the sky” and trek through the shallow salt waters. It is located in the Chaka town, Qinghai Haixi Mongolian Ulan county in Qinghai Province, its altitude is of about 3,059 meters. This lake is rich in salt with a heavy salt bed close to the surface of lake. Chaka river, Mo river, and Little Chahan wusu river which go out radically at the border of the Salt lake, and feed into the lake, and grow in the southern of the lake to supply ground water to Chaka Salt lake basin.

Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake is 105 kilometers long, 63 kilometers wide and 3196 meters above sea level. The lakeshore line is 360 kilometers long. It is the largest inland lake and saltwater lake in China.  The average temperature in the summer season is only 15 °C, making it a natural summer resort. People considered Qinghai Lake as “green lake” or “fairyland” because of the marvelous and natural beautiful reflected on it. Qinghai Lake is an important place in history which has been the traditional meeting place between Mongolian and Tibetan societies.

Taer Monastery
Taer Monastery is a typical religious building with a history more than 400 years.  Taer monastery is famous lama temple in China, it is the birthplace of lamaism shamanism founder Tsongkhapa, is also the center of northwest Buddhism activity. Taer Monastery is grand and imposing, is one of the famous six big lama temples in China.
