Tour Details | Taj Mahal & the Royal Rajasthan
Day 1 Delhi arrival (no meal)  

Arrive at Delhi international airport. After you have cleared immigrations, gone through the Visa verification process and collected your baggage, proceed towards the exit gate of the customs hall. Local representative will meet you outside the customs hall at the arrival gate inside the airport terminal and transfer you to the hotel for immediate check-in.

Day 2 Fly to Udaipur (breakfast)

Hotel breakfast and fly to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur, you will be greeted by local representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Spend the late morning at leisure. Start the day with a guided tour of the city palace, Crystal gallery and museum. Later visit the Jagdish temple and in the evening take the exclusive boat ride at lake Pichola. Proceed to Bagore ki Haveli to witness the Rajasthani folk dance. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravallis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, Udaipur city of Rajasthan state is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds and experiences. Udaipur’s kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Their reflection in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola is an enticing sight. A boat ride on Lake Pichola on which the majestic Lake Palace Hotel is situated. See the ghats along the lake and the interesting buildings on the banks. The view of the city palace from the lake is spectacular. Dock at the Jagmandir Island where the Maharana of Udaipur once gave Shah Jahan sanctuary.

Day 3 Drive to Deogarh (Breakfast )

This morning after breakfast leave for the rural settings of Deogarh (approx 02 Hrs). Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Before lunch take the artisan walk. Explore the arts of crafts of the Deogarh village folk – just step out of the gate and your local guide will show you the work of the local potter and you could try your hand at the potter’s wheel. The flag maker, the lady with the henna cones , the miniature artists all make for interesting aspects in the walk. Ending at the main street one sees the locals going about their daily business of trading spices, groceries, rations and bangles etc. There are also some antique and silver shops where one could strike a bargain.
Later in the afternoon take the rural rumble ride through the village experiencing the village life at its best. The rural safari end with the Hi tea at the lake. At dusk return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Deogarh a feudal estate in Mewar, was among premier states of Rajasthan. The chieftains from this region were titled Rawats and their estates were called thikanas. Deogarh, one such thikana, lies on the border of Marwar, Mewar and Merwara, 280 kms south-west of Jaipur and 135 kms north-east of Udaipur.

Day 4 Drive to Jaipur (Breakfast / dinner with local family)

Today after early morning Yoga session and breakfast spend some time enjoying the pool. Late morning leave for Jaipur (approx 5 Hrs), Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Early evening proceed to meet a local family for cooking demonstration and dinner. You will accompany the local family to the spice market, get to know about the spices and ingredients used in making the Rajasthani cuisine and later enjoy the dinner with the family. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Jaipur – A flamboyant showcase of Rajasthani architecture, Jaipur has long been established on tourist itineraries as the third corner of India’s “Golden Triangle”, along with Agra and Delhi. At the heart of Jaipur lies the Pink City, the old walled quarter, whose bazaars rank among the most vibrant in Asia, renowned for their textiles, jewellery and Rajasthani handicrafts. For all its colour, however, Jaipur’s heavy traffic, dense crowds and pushy traders make it a taxing place to explore, and many visitors stay just long enough to catch a train to more laidback destinations further west or south.If you can put up with the urban stress, however, the city’s modern outlook and commercial hustle and bustle offer a stimulating contrast to many other places in the state.

Day 5 A day in Jaipur (Breakfast )

This morning leave for a guided tour of Amer fort, city Palace, Observatory and Hawa Mahal (Place of winds for a photo stop). Later take the walking tour of the colorful markets of Jaipur. Spend the evening at leisure.

Day 6 Fly to Delhi (Breakfast)

Spend the morning at leisure. Early afternoon proceed to the airport to board the flight to Delhi (Air India -1330/1425 Hrs) . Arrive Delhi airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in.
Early evening leave to attend the 02 hour bollywood dance workshop (optional tour – can be availed locally). Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 7 A day in Delhi (Breakfast)

This morning after the hotel Yoga session and breakfast head out on a Rickshaw tour of Old Delhi visit Jama Masjid and the Sheesh Ganj Sahib Gurudwara. Experience a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk to reach “Khari Baoli”Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Enjoy a cup of Masala Chai at an old heritage haveli with the view of the erstwhile Mughal capital followed by a kite flying session. In the afternoon, drive past the Lutyens Delhi.(India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House and secretariat areas) followed by a visit to UNESCO World Heritage site of Humayun’s Tomb . Spend the evening at leisure or exploring the local markets on your own.

Day 8 Excursion to Taj Mahal – Agra (Breakfast / Lunch in Agra)

Today after breakfast leave for the railway station to board the train to Agra (Gatimaan Express – 0810/0950 Hrs). Arrive Agra railway station, you will be greeted by your guide for the day and he will take you for the tour of Agra fort and Itmad-ud-daula. Lunch will be organised at a local restaurant. After lunch witness the Taj Mahal. Early evening transfer to Agra railway station to board the train back to Delhi (Gatiman Express – 1750/1930 Hrs). Arrive Delhi railway station, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
