Myanmar stretches from the islands of the Andaman Sea in the south, right up into the Eastern Himalayan mountain range, giving a variety in the marvelous people’s culture and enrich the nature beyond stunning.

Our photo adventure will take you to Mandalay and Bagan. From peaceful monks to smiling farmers, from colurful monasteries to busy local markets, you will have lots of expectional photographic opportunities. We will have our own private transportation, excellent local guides to assist us. Accoomodation will be the first class standard. You will also taste the local cuisine. Join us!

Day 1 Nov 24 SUN: Fly to Mandalay (D)

Fly to Mandalay. Meet & greet upon arrival, transfer to U Bein Bridge, enjoy the sunset, which is the one of the best photographic opportunities in Asia.
Stay in Mercure Mandalay Hill Resort, 1 night
Meal: Welcome BBQ dinner at hotel

Day 2 Nov 25 MON:  Mandalay, transfer to Bagan  (B/D)

Hotel breakfast, check out.
Visit Mahagandayon Monastery to see lunch ceremony of monks at 10.15 in the morning. Depart then for the scenic 4 hours drive to Bagan, a few stops will be made along the way to stretch the legs and take photos.
Stay in Bagan The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate, 3 nights
Meals: Hotel breakfast, dinner with puppet show at Nanda Restaurant

Day 3 Nov 26 TUE:  Bagan (B/D)

Amazing Bagan Sunrise Photo shooting in the early morning.
Return to hotel for breakfast, photo workshop. Have a private relaxing time on your own: enjoy the Gym, Spa and outdoor swimming pool.
Afternoon visit a cave temple Gubyaukgyi and the elegant Htilominlo Temple.
Meals: Hotel breakfast, dinner at local Restaurant

Day 4 Nov 27 WED:  Bagan (B/D)

Amazing Bagan Sunrise Photo shooting in the early morning or optional activity: Balloon Experience Over Bagan.
Return to hotel for breakfast, photo workshop.
Have a private relaxing time on your own: enjoy the Gym, Spa and outdoor swimming pool.
Afternoon visit incl. the colour Nyaung Oo Market local market and Myinkaba village, and short walk and explore the temples of Manuha and Nan Paya.

Day 5 Nov 28 THU:  Bagan (B)

Hotel breakfast, check out.
Depart for the scenic 4 hours drive back to Madalay. A few stops will be made along the way to stretch the legs and take photos. Have a last sunset shooting in Madalay.

Day 6 Nov 29 FRI: Madalay Departure (B)

Drive to the airport, end of the trip.

Bagan The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate

Located in the historic city of Bagan, The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate features an outdoor pool and a spa and wellness center. The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk, which aids guests in transport and tour arrangements. Featuring wooden floors and furniture, air-conditioned rooms come with cable/satellite TV and a safety deposit box. The window-facing work desk overlooks the garden.

About the instructor Wang Gangfeng
Wang Gangfeng is credited as being the first freelance photographer in China. In 1981, equipped with a second-hand camera and expired film, he set out to record everyday images of men, women and children from all walks of life, and from all the ethnic groups of this vast nation. As of today, Wang has gainned a number of prizes and recognition in China and broad. He is learning and improving the video shooting skill and expects to share his works with you soon.
Wang has been the judge of ChinaBase Mobile Photo Contest since 2016. He was also the instructor of our previous “Saigon Photo Adventure” and “Nepal Photo Adventure”.

About the organizer & tour leader
Christy, a traveler and the owner of ChinaBase, is a veteran in travel & event management for 20 years. She worked as a tour leader for Danish leisure groups in China in 1996. 3 years later, she started ChinaBase Travel, a travel agent that offering tailored travels in China, Asia & Beyond. Travel has always been her passion. She has explored more than 50 countries in all 5 continentals and will keep exploring. Christy and her team have been organizing the Mobile Photo Contest since 2014.
