Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (No meals)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will receive a warm welcome at the airport with traditional flower garland. Then transfer to hotel.

Day 2 Tour of Kathmandu (Breakfast)

Morning, visit Kathmandu city with its stone-paved lanes and its colorful bazaars. Also visit the Temple of the Living Goddess – “Kumari” who is considered to be the incarnation of the “Virgin Goddess”. The temples, shrines and different sections of the palace are contributions of various dynasties over centuries and epitomize the religious and cultural life of the local people.

Further visit the Hanuman Dhoka Palace and its museum that has been open to the public. All around the splendor of historical monuments is the hustle & bustle of the market place.

Continue to Swoyambhunath, situated west of Kathmandu. It is a 2500 years old Buddhist stupa located atop a green hillock with the eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle overlooking righteous behavior of the valley inhabitants.

Afternoon, visit Patan city, also known as Lalitpur or the “city of beauty”. Patan is well known for its intricately carved temples, narrow lanes and quaint shops. Appreciate the intricately stone-carved Krishna temple, Patan Durbar Square and Hiranyavarna Mahavihar (golden temple). Further, pay a visit to Tibetan Refugee camp.

Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3 Fly to Pokhara and drive to Nayapool; trek to Ghandrung (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Transfer to the domestic airport in the morning to connect your flight to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, drive to Nayapool (approx. 1.5 hrs). Commence walking uphill to Ghandrung village (1980m / 4.5-5 hrs walk), a well-planned Gurung village – perhaps the largest and most beautiful in the entire Annapurna area. The afternoon may be spent exploring Ghandrung village with its neat rows of ochre-coloured houses and well-kept gardens. The headquarters of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project is located here.

Overnight at Tea House/Local Lodge.

Day 4 Trek to Tadapani (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Enjoy the magnificent sunrise view from here with the two peaks of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli acting as the backdrop of this attractive and beautiful village. After breakfast we exit the village from the north heading into forests of Rhododendron and other hardwood trees, and further to Tadapani (2540m / 5hrs walk), which is a narrow village in the shadows of Annapurna South. We cross couple of rivulets over which wooden planks serve as makeshift bridges. The forest cover here is quite thick offering a variety of sub-tropical vegetation.

Overnight at Tea House/Local Lodge.

Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Today is an easy walk as the trail meanders out of the forestland as we pass a few small hutments. Then we walk amongst bushes and shrubs before coming on to a wide grass meadow on a hill ridge which takes us all the way to Ghorepani (2830m / 4hrs walk) a busy trading village that connects villages in this area with the Kaligandaki valley, the lifeline to Mustang. With an average walking pace we should reach Ghorepani by lunch time.

Overnight at Tea House/Local Lodge.

Day 6 Early morning Poon hill excursion; Trek down to Tirkedhunga (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Early in morning we recommend a hike to Poon Hill a nearby hilltop that is slightly above 3,000 metres and offers a panoramic view of the entire Annapurna massif including its dominant peak Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Mt. Macchapuchare (6,993m) among a host of others. You will also see Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) close to the left. After breakfast walk along forested areas before making a steep knee-wobbling descent to the sleepy village of Tirkhedhunga (1,575m/6hrs walk)

Overnight at Tea House/Local Lodge.

Day 7 Trek to Nayapool; Tour of Pokhara (Breakfast, Lunch)

It’s a gentle hike this day as we follow a mountain stream along a wide village trail. Quite likely that we will encounter colourful mule-trains as they ferry goods to and from the Kaligandaki valley. Stop for lunch at Birethanti. Walk down to Nayapool (1,070m/4hrs walk).

Meet our waiting vehicle at Nayapool. Drive to Pokhara city and continue with sightseeing tour of Pokhara and its colorful bazaars. Visit includes Devis falls and a walk along Phewa lakeside. After the tour, you will be transferred to hotel.
