The M/V Sovereign
The M/V Sovereign cruise ship was built in St. Nazaire, France and delivered in 1988 registered in Malta, Valetta. She has a gross tonnage of 73.529 tons and measures 32 meters long and 32.20 meters wide. The ship can reach a maximum speed of 19 knots, and is manned by an international crew of over 800 people from more than thirty different countries.

Day 1: Monday – Barcelona arrival, cruise check in (Dinner)
Wherever you are in Barcelona there’s always something to see: astonishing architecture, the Roman and medieval city and most of all the charming streets and squares of Barcelona. The city brims with activities and things to see, and the best of all is that a delicious pan of paella is never more than a small walk away.

Day 2: Tuesday – At Sea (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Today you’ll be at sea where you can explore the cruise ship filled with activities and restaurants. You can try one of spa and beauty treatments avaliable, relax with a cocktail, take a dip in the pool or simply enjoy the mesmerizing sound and landscape of the sea.
Day 3: Wednesday – Naples, Pompeii Excursion (Breakfast & Dinner)
The charming city of Naples was first settled by Greeks and is now the third largest municipality in Italy; the city is also one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban areas in the world. The city is also the birthplace of the Neapolitan pizza and other delicious southern Italian dishes.
Today you have the opportunity to explore Pompeii and Capri, Naples, visit Sorrento and learn how to make pizza or see the Amalfi coast.
Close to Naples lies the ancient ruins of Pompeii, an ancient city that was once a bustling Roman city, until the volcano Vesuv fatally erupted and burying much of the city with its inhabitants in the year 79 A.D. The ruins are a fantastic trip to take, filled with exploration of how the Romans lived back in their glory days.
Day 4: Thursday – Civitavecchia, Rome Excursion (Breakfast & Dinner)
Civitavecchia, also known as the “Port of Rome” is today a major cruise and ferry port, and also the main starting point for sea connection between central Italy and destinations such as Barcelona, Sicily, and Sardinia. The city has a massive fort called “Forte Michelangelo”, named after the legendary Renaissance sculptor, painter & architect Michelangelo, which among other things painted the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican city of Rome.
Today you’ll have the opportunity to explore the magnificent city of rome Rome through one of the various planned sightseeing tours.
Italy’s capital Rome is a magnificent city once called ‘Caput Mundo’ (Capital of the World), the city is filled with wonders and great feats of humanity throughout humanity. The city is a boiling pot of haunting ruins, awe-inspiring art, and a modern vibrant street life, with thousands of years of history and treasures. It was once the capital of the great Roman Empire, which is still clearly present with magnificent feats of architecture, the city was also one of the cultural centers in the Italian Renaissance so to this day magnificent art and sculptures are still present at many of the city’s historical building. The city is also home to the Vatican state, the capital of the Catholic faith.
Day 5: Friday – Livorno, Pisa & Florence Excursion (Breakfast & Dinner)
Livorno is an important port on the coast of Tuscany in central Italy, purpose-built as a mercantile port city, that’s important for nearby cities such as Florence or Pisa.
So when the cruise ported at Livorno, the cruise stopped by the magical city Florence, which was once a center of medieval European trade and finance and is now also called the birthplace of the Renaissance. It’s now a hotspot for visitors wishing to see the amazing sights such as the Uffizi Gallery or to simply experience the city’s enchanting charm.
Today you’ll have the opportunity to Florence and Pisa, the famous city of Siena or the small fortress town of Lucca.
Day 6: Saturday – Villefranche, Nice & Monaco Excursion (Breakfast & Dinner)
The small town of Villefranche is one of Côte d’Azur’s most beautiful and charming towns. Villefranche lies gorgeously in the French Riviera’s bay, with charming alleys & squares. The town is conveniently placed close by Nice & Monaco, so ideally both destinations were visited on the stop.
Today you’ll have the opportunity to explore Nice, Monaco and Montecarlo. At Monaco, you will be dazzled and amazed at each turn, at the heart of the ‘City of Princes.’ You can experience everything from the old town with an open-air museum, to the ‘Place du Casino’ furthermore explore the history of the Grimaldis or experience the Fontvieille district rising up from the water.
Nice is also called ‘the capital of the French Riviera’, which explains a lot. Nice has so much to offer from the charming and vibrant streets to the glamorous docks or fantastic beaches nearby.
Day 7: Sunday – Sète, Montpellier Excursion (Breakfast & Dinner)
Sète is a one-of-a-kind French Mediterranean town that doesn’t let outsiders decide its culture and traditions since it’s simply too busy. The town is full of fishermen & anglers selling their catches on the charming canals. Best of all is Sète’s long beautiful beaches stretching over 12km, which offer sunbathing, beach games and a variety of nice bar and restaurants.
Today you’ll have the opportunity to go explore Montpellier, walk the beaches of Sète, go kayaking, walk through the magical old town of Carcassonne or explore the charming town of Rhone.
Montpellier is a beautiful must-see French town with its distinct medieval streets ideal for shopping to new neighbourhoods that combines natural spaces and modern buildings designed by talented international architects.
Day 8: Monday – Barcelona (end of cruise) (Breakfast)
