Itinery:

Day 1 Chengdu - Arrival - Leshan-Emei
Arrive in Chengdu in the morning and leave for Leshan. You will enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains during about two hour’s driving on the expressway. Upon arrival, visit the Grand Buddha and Ningyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 year’s construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world with a 71-meter height. After lunch at Leshan head for Mt. Emei and stay overnight at the foot of the mountain.

Day 2 Emei - Chengdu
Early in the morning take the sightseeing bus to the Leidongping Bus Station along the 52- kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, take the cable car to the Golden Summit. With an elevation of 3099 meters, if weather is fine, you find your visions become broadened; the verdant forest waves surge along the mountain; Mingjing River, Qingyi River and Daduhe River are like three pieces of silk. Afterwards visit Huazang Si (copper temple), take cable car and bus down to visit Wanian Si Temple, which is located at the waist of the mountain and accessible by cable car. And then trek down to experience the beautiful scenery along the mountain lane, take a stopover at Qingyingguo (Clear-Sound Pavilion) and tour the Monkey Hill to have a close touch with wild monkeys and enjoy the pleasure of staying with animals harmoniously. At last transfer back to Chengdu.

Day 3 Chengdu – Dujiangyan – Wolong Panda Preserve
In the morning drive to visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, which was built around 250 BC, the great project still works well today after more than two thousand year’s function. In the afternoon, upon arrival of Wolong natural Preserve, visit Giant Panda center. During this trip, you do not only watch the lovely rare animals closely but also get knowledge of environment, evolution, also other animals around them and themselves, the raising, breeding and protection research and the development of Wolong Nature Reserve. All of this guides the visitors to discover the secret of the life of the giant panda.

Day 4 Wolong - Jiuzhaigou
In the morning, at about 08:00 am leave for Jiuzhaigou along the Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway. After lunch at Pingwu continue the journey to cross over Dujuanshan Mountain and reach Jiuzhaigou in the late afternoon.

Day 5 Jiuzhaigou
Go sightseeing the whole day in three valleys. Situated in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Jiuzhaigou (Nine-villages Valley) is listed as a World Natrual Heritage and reputed as a “fairyland” with its fantastic natural view. As the water, the “soul of Jiuzhaigou”, is purely and crystal-like clear and rich in colors, there goes the saying that no water is worth your attention after your visit to Jiuzhaigou. The water, the reflection on the bank, the stone mill, the Tibetan villages, the Buddhist streamers and the songs and dances of the Tibetan and Qiang people constitute the unique tourist culture of Jiuzhaigou. 114 green lakes, 47 springs, 17 over flying waterfall groups, 11 sections of turbulent streams, 5 Karst shoals, vast primitive forest and three Tibetan villages are distributed among the three valleys.

Day 6 Jiuzhaigou – Huanlong
In the morning enter the valleys again. In the afternoon (about 15:00 pm) drive to Huanglong Scenic Spot. (about 3 hour’s driving).

Day 7 Huanglong - Maoxian
In the morning visit Huanglong. Located at Songpan County, Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) As a national park in China, Huanglong has won the praise as “heaven on earth” or “wonderland” and is marked by its low-temperature and highly calcified Karst landform, which forms numerous valuable colored ponds. Besides, marvelous water forms, natural scenery composed of magnificent valleys, colorful pools, grasslands and wild animals all make Huanglong more fascinating. On the way to Maoxian County, appreciate the valley landscape of the upper reaches of the Minjiang River and have a stopover at Diexihaizi, which is just made of two barrier lakes resulted from the big earthquake in 1933. Afterwards pass by Songpan County, an old city with a history of 600 years. Reach Maoxian County in the late afternoon.

Day 8 Maoxian – Chengdu Departure
Drive back to Chengdu. Upon arrival, transfer to airport to take a flight to your next destination.
