Beaches

  Qingdao is famous for its six beaches, which are extremely popular with the Chinese. June to September is the main swimming season. The beaches are sheltered and equipped with changing sheds. Shark nets, lifeguards, lifeboat patrols and medical station provide safety.

Badaguan Villas-Colonial Architecture

  Badaguan (Eight Passes) is named after the eight passes of the Great Wall. Located in the city center, the passes are planted with trees of various blooms blossoming in different seasons, such as peaches, crabapples, pine trees and ginkgoes. This area is known for its many villas, and with more than 200 western architecture in different styles, it is also called the Architecture Museum.

Shilaoren National Holiday Resort

  Situated on the east coast of the city, unique tourist villa and hotel architecture, fine sand bathing beaches, and numerous symbolic cultural and sports facilities are the feature in this area. The Ocean Park, the Dolphin part, the International Beer City, the Golf Course, the International Convention Centre, the Cultural Exposition Centre, the Century Square and the Municipal Sport Centre are all places visitors should not miss.
- Dorphin Park
Constructed in May 1995, it is the first Dolphin Park in China. It covers an area of 40 thousand sq. m. with 2500 seats. You can enjoy the dolphins` performance while gaining some knowledge on these wonderful marine mammals while you are there.

Zhanqiao Pier

  Qingdao's major landmark and symbol-even is in the label of famous Qingdao Beer. The pier was built in 1891 as a warehouse. It stretches some 440 meters from Taiping Road to its southern extremity far out to sea. A traditional octagonal pavilion has been added at the southern end. It is an ideal place to enjoy the sea view and the contrast between modern buildings and old German concession.

Mt. Lao Shan National Scenic Area

  30 km southeast of Qingdao and joining the Yellow Sea. The mountain is home to a famous Taoist Quanzhen Sect sanctuary in China. Taoist temples and beautiful scenery make it a nice getaway. The most famous beer in China Tsingtao Beer is brewed in Qingdao using spring water from Mt. Laoshan.
The mountain is associated with Taoist legend and myth, with the central attraction being the Song Dynasty Taiqing Gong .
