Ningbo is located in the middle of China's coastline and in the south of the Yangtze Delta. It is one of China's oldest cities with a history dating back of 4800 B.C; known as a major trading port as well as Yangzhou and Guangzhou in the Tang dynasty; thereafter, the major ports for foreign trade in the Song dynasty; has become one of the five greatest trading ports in China after the Opium War. Fishing, textiles and food processing is the primary industries of Ningbo. Travellers come here mainly in transit on the way to nearby Putuoshan, one of Zhejiang' s Premier tourist attractions

When to Go
Like most of the Grand Canal region, Ningbo endures agonizing hot, humid summers. Spring and fall are quite lovely; winter temperatures seldom fall below freezing. Airport info NGB Bus between downtown and airport is available. Every 60 minutes at interval from 06:00 to 18:00 each day. |
