| The 13th day
of the third lunar month (usually April or May) is the traditional day to
hold a Fertility Festival. In July, it is Torch Festival. The origin of
this festival can be traced back to the intrigues of the Nanzhao kingdom,
when the wife of a man burned to death by the king, eluded the romantic
