Hefei is an ancient city with history over 2000 years. It was a battlefield of the Three Kingdoms Period, hometown of the upright Song official Bao Zheng, and a bone of contention among warring strategists. Surrounded by wooded mountains and tucked away under the shadows of green trees, Hefei is also a garden city with a pleasant environment. Major attractions: the temple and tomb of Bao Zheng, the battlefield at Xiaoyaojin, Jiaonu Terrace, Xinghua Park, and Chaohu Amusement Park-on-the-Water.
