| Begins on the 15th day of the third lunar month (usually April or May), and ends on 21st day. The origins of the fair lie in its commemoration of a fabled visit by Guanyi, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, to the Nanzhao Kingdom. Today it is more like an extra festive market, with people from all over Yunnan arriving to buy, sell and make money. |  |

| It is held
between the 23rd and 25th days of the fourth lunar month (usually May or
June). The name of the festival refers to touring three temples, and this
is basically what the participants do. |

| It is held
on the 24th day of the sixth lunar month (usually July or August). Flaming
